In 2011, we purchased an 11,500 sq. ft. building at 239 Firehole Ave. (the corner of Highway 20 and Electric St.) and established it as the central location for our operations. Our Board of Directors conducts business here, and the multi-use building enhances our local economy by offering rental space to a few residents and businesses.
The building is also home to the Yellowstone Studies Center (YSC). As operations manager for the YSC, we provide the venue, educational opportunities, and support services for elementary, middle and high school, college, and university students, teachers, and professors as well as other educational groups who take part in experiential teaching and learning in West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park. LOCAL DONORS AND PARTNERS
We thank our very special local donors and partners for their many contributions to the Center. World renown photographer, Chris Balmer, and his companies Perfect Light Camera and Supplies of Idaho Falls, ID, and Yellowstone Camera Store of W. Yellowstone, contributed many of the outstanding photographs that adorn the interior walls.
